This DVD contains the actual, VHS home movies filmed by a crewmember.
VP-48 Adak Deployment. Filmed entirely from the cockpit, standing behind the flight engineer. Actually, a very good video. Highlights are the P-3 getting major-league harassment from a Soviet MiG-25 Foxbat. The MiG cuts across the nose of the P-3 so close the plane jumps as it hits the wake turbulence. He does this several times. We then see and hear from some very pissed off pilots and, shall we say, colorful metaphors... This has some salty language, but you would not expect anything else.
Begins with a great takeoff sequence.
Great footage of an Akula submarine caught on the surface.
Footage of the P-3 being escorted by F-18 Hornets. If you also like the F-18, then you really will enjoy this film.
Ends with a parade, and a very cool fly-by of three Orions in formation.
Filmed almost entirely from the flight station. While I admit that us real AW's flew in the mighty SH-3H Sea King, I have to say that this is a very cool DVD.
About 40 minutes running time.
