This DVD contains the actual, uncut 8mm footage that was filmed by a pilot during the 1966-67 combat cruise to Vietnam. This film is unique since the person who filmed it was an A-4 combat pilot who also took his camera flying.
Great scenes of the flight deck throughout.
Excellent flight operations.
Aerial scenes, including a cockpit view of tanking with a KA-3D, as well as combat strikes over North Vietnam.
Also, flight operations filmed from the plane guard helicopter. Actually, he did a great job filming flight ops from this perspective.
Great UNREP scenes.
I will say that this is probably one of the best films in my archive of a Vietnam combat cruise. It has it all; Great flight operations, scenes of the flight deck, UNREP, Aerial footage, and actual combat footage. Even footage of the flight deck during a typhoon.
