This DVD contains 16mm black and white footage of flight operations filmed by photographers aboard the Indy in April 1960.

This is great footage shot entirely from the flight deck, in slightly slow-motion, which really brings out the aircraft. There are numerous title panels throughout this film, listing the photographer who filmed each sequence. This may have been shot for training, but we are darned lucky to have this today.

What makes this film such a gem is the types of aircraft filmed. Included: F4D Skyray, F11F Tiger, F3H Demon, F-8 Crusader, A3D Skywarrior, A-3 Skyhawk, E-1 Tracer. Complete list is below:

Film contains both traps and launches, with more traps than launches. The traps were filmed from the starboard catwalk, across from the LSO platform.
