This DVD contains the actual, uncut footage that was filmed by a crewman during the 1962 Far East Cruise. A fantastic look into Naval Aviation (NAVAIR) aboard a carrier just before the Vietnam War. -Very unique, never before seen footage-

The first 3 or so minutes were filmed during a tiger cruise.

Great scenes of the flight deck throughout.

Excellent flight operations, and lots of it, including the F-3 Demon.

Great UNREP footage.

Footage of an F-8 in the port catwalk. We miss the Crusader going over the side, but great scenes of Tilly picking it up and putting it back on the flight deck.

Great swim call footage.

Footage of bombs being loaded onto aircraft.

Great liberty scenes.

Simply a great all-round DVD of a carrier during an early 1960’s deployment.

There are a few spots (just a couple of minutes total) where the film was either overexposed, or has faded. Rather than play censor I left them.
